British-style revolution: The new Bentley Flying Spur facelift marks a historic first and brings back the "S" version to the range
British luxury carmaker Bentley has officially revealed the new facelift for its prestigious Flying Spur limousine. The update is not just a simple mid-career aesthetic refresh, but marks a profound visual transformation, inspired by the brand's past, alongside a massive infusion of high-performance hybrid technology.
A radical design change: Goodbye double headlights, a first since 1962
The most striking exterior change is at the front. The new Flying Spur ditches the twin headlamps in favour of single-unit headlamps on each side. This is the first time a Bentley saloon has adopted this configuration since 1962, giving the car a more modern and fluid visual presence. The headlamps will be available in two technological and aesthetic variants, depending on the trim level selected.
Other important exterior changes include:
- A new front grille, now integrated directly into the revised bumper.
- New interior design taillights that emphasize the sedan's width and imposing stance.
- 22-inch wheels with a completely new design, optimized to combine elegance with sportiness.
- An exclusive body color, called Dark Teal, introduced with this facelift.
At the time of commercial launch, customers will be able to choose between two distinct equipment philosophies: Azure (focused on ultimate luxury and comfort) and S (oriented towards dynamics and pure performance).
The Return of the Flying Spur S: The Most Powerful Engine in Sedan History
The facelift marks a highly anticipated moment for fans of the brand: the return of the Flying Spur S performance version to the British model range, after an absence of several years.
Under the bonnet, the Crewe engineers have installed a state-of-the-art hybrid powertrain. It officially becomes the most powerful engine ever fitted to a production Bentley saloon, delivering supercar-worthy performance figures without sacrificing the brand’s signature refinement.

Top technology for exceptional dynamic behavior
To efficiently manage the huge resources of the hybrid system, the S version benefits from an advanced technology package, designed to provide surprising agility for a sedan of this size.
The new Flying Spur S promises exceptional dynamic behavior, thanks to the integration of a state-of-the-art active chassis and an electronic limited-slip differential (eLSD).
Roadholding and cornering control are managed by a suite of intelligent systems:
- Active all-wheel drive, which instantly redistributes torque between the axles depending on grip.
- Dual-valve shock absorbers, capable of separating the control of roll movements from that of ride comfort.
- Bentley Dynamic Ride system, which counteracts body roll during cornering through active anti-roll bars.
- Torque Vectoring technology for precise trajectory tracing.
- A new generation of ESC (Electronic Stability Control) software, recalibrated to allow sportier operation.
Production begins in the fall
The new Bentley Flying Spur will be hand-assembled, in keeping with tradition, at the brand’s historic factory in Crewe, UK. The production line will officially start in September, when the first customer units will enter production.
