Samurai soul and 1.015 HP: Lamborghini presents the new Revuelto Impavido, a limited edition for Japan
The Sant'Agata Bolognese-based manufacturer is marking a quarter of a century of official presence on the Japanese market by launching an exclusive model. Limited to just 25 individually-inserted examples, the Lamborghini Revuelto Impavido combines cutting-edge Italian engineering with traditional samurai symbolism.
Automobili Lamborghini has officially unveiled the new Revuelto Impavido, a special edition created exclusively for the Japanese market. The project celebrates 25 years since the brand's official entry into the Land of the Rising Sun, paying tribute to the enduring bond between the Italian manufacturer and its Japanese customers.
The name of the edition, "Impavido" (which in Italian means "fearless" or "brave"), reflects the spirit of Bushido — the samurai code of honor, defined by courage, discipline, and unwavering determination.
“The Revuelto Impavido perfectly embodies Lamborghini’s ability to unite innovation with cultural inspiration. The project celebrates the dialogue between Italian design excellence and Japanese culture, creating a vehicle that is both an unmistakable Lamborghini and a model deeply rooted in the character of Japan.” — Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini
Design language inspired by samurai armor
Created through the Lamborghini Ad Personam customization program, Revuelto Impavido translates fundamental elements of medieval Japanese combat equipment into a modern architectural language:
- Side lines and rear bumper: The sharp edges sculpted on the doors and rear bumper evoke the cutting movement of a katana, symbolizing precision, speed and controlled power.
- Gold accents: The exterior details reference Odoshi, the silk cords used to tie the plates of samurai armor, which traditionally indicated status and clan membership.
- Front: the grille and front elements are inspired by Maedate, the coat of arms mounted on samurai helmets as a symbol of protection and authority.
- Ceiling and wings: the decorative elements on the ceiling and wings are reminiscent of Kozane, the lacquered plates that made up classical armor.
Four exclusive configurations full of meaning
Lamborghini offers the Revuelto Impavido in four distinct exterior configurations, each carrying a well-defined symbolic charge:
| Finish | Shade Name | Inspiration & Symbolism |
| Shiny | Verde Campus | Inspired by Hisui jade (Japan's national stone), a symbol of life, fertility, and the soul of the earth. |
| Shiny | Grigio Artis Lucido | Inspired by the katana sword, an expression of loyalty, honor, and master craftsmanship. |
| Matt | Grigio Crater Matt | Inspired by black and grey samurai armor, symbolizing fearlessness, spiritual protection, and authority. |
| Matt | Rosso Pyra | Inspired by Sanada Red, associated with bravery, strength, and discipline. |
The glossy variants combine Nero Noctis and Bronzo Oreadi details, while the matte versions use Nero Nemesis and Bronzo Serse accents. The exterior package is completed by 21/22-inch Altanero forged wheels in Shiny Black, bronze calipers and Matt Black tailpipes.
Exclusive interior and handcrafted details
Inside, the Revuelto Impavido continues the theme of exclusivity. The fine Nero Ade leather and Corsa Tex fabric are highlighted by contrasting stitching in Bronzo Oreadi.
The seats, door panels and roof receive custom embroidery, along with the Samurai logo. Each of the 25 cars includes an individually inserted carbon fiber plate with the marking “1 of 25”.
V12 hybrid performance: 1.015 hp and 0-100 km/h in 2.5 seconds
Underneath the sculpted bodywork, the Impavido edition retains the mechanical architecture of the Revuelto model — the first HPEV (High Performance Electrified Vehicle) in the brand's history.
- Propulsion: 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine, assisted by 3 electric motors and an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
- Total power: 1.015 hp
- Performance: 0–100 km/h in 2.5 seconds, top speed over 350 km/h.
- Weight/power ratio: 1.75 kg/HP, achieved thanks to the carbon fiber monocoque and front structure made of Forged Composites.
- Technology: active aerodynamics (3-position rear spoiler), CCB Plus ceramic brakes and all-wheel drive with electric torque vectoring.
The 25 copies of the Revuelto Impavido limited series represent not only a collector's item for enthusiasts in Japan, but also a timeless bridge between extreme Italian engineering and traditional Japanese philosophy.
Price and exclusivity: A collector's investment
As with most ultra-limited editions, the Italian manufacturer has not publicly disclosed the official purchase price, the cars being offered directly to selected customers in Japan. However, if a standard Revuelto has a starting price of around $600,000 (approx. €550,000), the high level of Ad Personam artisanal customization and the limited edition of 25 copies raise the estimated value of each Impavido to the $750,000–800,000 mark.
