More powerful and aggressive. BMW presents the X3 M50 xDrive with Black Package
The Bavarian manufacturer's model range is receiving a number of important updates this autumn. Among the most attractive news is the extension of the Black Package visual package to the most powerful mid-size SUV in the portfolio. Originally announced for models such as the 2 Series Coupé, 4 Series Coupé and 4 Series Convertible, this customization package is now available exclusively for the top-of-the-range BMW X3 M50 xDrive.
The aesthetic package emphasizes the dynamic and exclusive character of the Bavarian SUV, combining exterior elements finished in dark shades with a reconfigured interior in motorsport style.
Exclusive exterior details: Dominant attitude on the road
On the outside, the Black Package visibly transforms the appearance of the X3 M50 xDrive. All exterior trim elements are dressed in a deep black, creating a strong contrast regardless of the chosen body color.
Specific elements of the exterior package include:
- 22-inch wheels: The set of large M light alloy wheels is finished completely in high-gloss black, emphasizing the car's athletic profile.
- M brake system: The calipers of the M Sport brake system are painted in an exclusive shade of high-gloss black and bear a monochrome M emblem.
- Dedicated emblems and lettering: All M logos and model designations are finished in glossy black and delicately outlined with silver edges, a refined visual detail that highlights the attention to detail.
Refined interior: Alcantara, Veganza leather and contrast stitching
The changes to the interior are designed to create a performance cockpit atmosphere, emphasizing premium materials that are pleasant to the touch.
The package extends the use of Alcantara material to key areas of the dashboard and cabin:
- The surface around the central screen and in the area of ??the induction charging space for the mobile phone is covered in Alcantara.
- The interior door panels and center armrest receive the same high-quality Alcantara insert.
- The sports seats combine Veganza synthetic leather upholstery with Alcantara inserts, highlighted by contrasting blue stitching.
- The seat headrests feature an M emblem embossed directly into the Alcantara surface.
More power under the hood: 443 hp and acceleration in 4.4 seconds
In addition to the aesthetic innovations brought by the Black Package, the top-of-the-line X3 M50 xDrive also benefits from substantial optimization of the powertrain.
The prototype, powered by a 3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder engine (48V Mild-Hybrid technology), now delivers a total output of 443 horsepower — a substantial increase of 45 hp over the previous version. Thanks to this increased power resource, the Bavarian SUV accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds, offering excellent acceleration and dynamic response on any type of road.
Estimated prices and availability on the Romanian market
The new Black Package visual package for the BMW X3 M50 xDrive will be officially launched on the market starting in December.
Regarding the Romanian market:
- Vehicle starting price: The BMW X3 M50 xDrive model has an estimated base price of around 82,000 - 85,000 euros (VAT included).
- Optional package cost: The Black Package visual package will be offered as an individual customization option, with an estimated cost between 2,000 and 3,000 euros, depending on the additional equipment options in the configurator.
- Orders and deliveries: Order lists at authorized BMW dealers in Romania will open towards the end of this year, with the first deliveries to customers expected for the first quarter of next year.
