Lepas L6 Plug-in Hybrid debuts at the Bucharest Auto Show: A new compact SUV with 279 HP launched in Romania
On the occasion of the Bucharest Auto & Accessories Show (SAB) 2026, the Chinese brand Lepas expands its portfolio on the local market by officially presenting the new L6 PHEV. The model is a compact SUV equipped with a plug-in hybrid propulsion system, developed to provide a balance between performance and efficient long-distance driving.
Accelerated expansion on the Romanian market
The launch of the new L6 PHEV comes just a few days after the brand opened its first official showroom in Romania, in Sibiu, a moment that also marked the debut on the local market of the larger SUV, the Lepas L8.
The distribution network development plan is advancing at a rapid pace:
- Present: 8 authorized dealers nationwide.
- Final objective 2026: Expand the network to 12 authorized dealers by the end of this year.
- Target 2027: National coverage through 24 dealers.
Compact design and balanced proportions
The new Lepas L6 falls into the compact SUV segment, being designed to offer maneuverability in urban environments and sufficient space for long trips.

The exterior design follows the modern lines specific to new generation electrified vehicles, with an aerodynamic silhouette, an integrated front grille and LED technology optical blocks. The 2.7-meter wheelbase allows for optimizing the space in the cabin for rear passengers and ensures a generous volume for the trunk.
Plug-in Hybrid propulsion: 279 HP and extended range
The technical assembly of the new Lepas L6 PHEV relies on an efficient configuration, suitable both for daily commuting without local emissions and for covering long itineraries without frequent stops for recharging.

- Total power output: 279 hp.
- Battery capacity: 18.4 kWh.
- Pure electric range: Up to 92 km (WLTP cycle).
- Total combined range: Up to 1,058 km (WLTP cycle).
The 18.4 kWh battery provides an electric range of almost 100 km, covering most daily urban routes. In hybrid mode, the system automatically manages energy resources to maximize efficiency over long distances.
Technology and digitalization indoors
The cabin of the new L6 is configured around the concept of ergo-digitalization, offering a simplified environment adapted to current industry standards.
The model's technological features include:

With the premiere presentation at the Bucharest Auto Show, the importer officially opened the pre-order session on the Romanian market.
The standard list price for the new Lepas L6 PHEV is €39,990 (VAT included). To mark the market launch, a promotional campaign is available from October 6 to November 30, 2026: customers who pay a deposit of €1,000 benefit from a special introductory price of €35,990 (VAT included).
