Brabus has officially unveiled the new Bodo, a 1.000 HP Hyper-GT created in memory of the brands founder

The ultimate homage: Brabus launches 'Bodo', a 1,000 hp Hyper-GT based on the Aston Martin Vanquish

The German tuning house steps out of the Mercedes-Benz comfort zone to create a work of art on wheels, limited to just 77 examples.

When you think of Brabus, your mind immediately jumps to black monsters based on Mercedes-Benz or Smart, capable of moving mountains. This time, however, the engineers in Bottrop decided that a simple upgrade was not enough to pay homage to the legendary founder of the brand, Bodo Buschmann. The result is the Brabus Bodo, a coupe of absolute aggression that rewrites the rules of the game and marks a historic first by adopting a British platform.

A sculptural design: British DNA clad in German carbon

The new Brabus Bodo is defined by the manufacturer as a Hyper-GT. Although under the body beats the technical heart of the new Aston Martin Vanquish, the exterior aesthetics have been completely rebuilt to exude brute force.

The front is dominated by a massive grille, flanked by sharp LED headlights, with an extremely sharp look. Interestingly, the rear of the car adopts flowing lines that subtly refer to the classic silhouette of a Porsche 911, creating a spectacular and unexpected visual contrast.

To keep the total weight at 1,910 kilograms, the engineers retained the donor's rigid aluminum structure, but completely replaced the exterior panels. The entire body is made exclusively of carbon fiber. The aesthetic and dynamic package is perfectly complemented by massive 21-inch monobloc wheels, which emphasize the car's wide and menacing stance.

The Interior: Where Brabus Luxury Meets Aston Martin Technology

Inside, Brabus chose to keep the elements that already worked flawlessly: the state-of-the-art multimedia system and ergonomic physical controls are borrowed directly from the Aston Martin Vanquish. However, the atmosphere in the cabin has been completely transformed.

  • Ultra-premium materials: The cabin is dressed in a completely new upholstery made of fine leather, handcrafted to the strict standards of the German brand.
  • Motorsport details: Visible carbon fiber trim is strategically placed around the digital instrument cluster and on the oversized gearshift paddles.
  • Slogan to the sky: The feeling of space and freedom is amplified by a generous panoramic roof, which floods the interior with natural light.

The heart of the beast: 1,000 horsepower from a Twin-Turbo V12

Beyond aesthetics, the real monument dedicated to Bodo Buschmann lies under the extremely long hood. Brabus has radically modified the 5.2-liter bi-turbo V12 engine, managing to squeeze out figures that enter directly into hypercar territory: 1,000 horsepower and an electronically controlled torque of 1,200 Nm.

The performance figures are simply staggering for a luxury GT:

  • Acceleration 0-100 km/h: Just over 3 seconds
  • Maximum speed: 360 km/h

The Brabus Bodo is not just a fast car in a straight line, but a demonstration of technological strength that delivers almost infinite power reserves at any speed.

Absolute exclusivity: Starting price of 1 million euros

The Brabus Bodo will not be a common sight on the roads, but an extremely rare piece in private collections. The model will be produced in a strictly limited series of just 77 units — a direct reference to 1977, the year Bodo Buschmann laid the foundations of the company that would become a benchmark for German performance.

To get your hands on one of these engineering gems, collectors will have to pay a price befitting its exclusivity: around 1 million euros for a single example. It's the right price for a tribute on wheels that perfectly combines aristocratic British elegance with the pure brutality of Brabus engineering.
