Sandero and Sandero Stepway 2026: pre-orders for the new facelift versions begin

Dacia Opens Orders for the New Sandero and Sandero Stepway Facelift: A More Robust and Technologically Advanced Evolution
Dacia, the Romanian manufacturer renowned for its philosophy of offering an excellent quality-price ratio, has officially started taking orders for the updated versions of its best-selling models: Sandero facelift and Sandero Stepway facelift. Scheduled for delivery in the first quarter of 2026, the new models bring significant improvements in design, technology and, most importantly, under the hood, while maintaining an affordable starting price.
Revised Design: A Bright Signature Out of the Box
The most visible change is on the outside. The new Sandero and Sandero Stepway adopt a restyled front end, dominated by a more imposing grille and a new LED light signature in the distinctive shape of an inverted "T". The front bumper has also been updated, giving the cars a more robust and modern look.
For the Stepway version, the crossover look is accentuated, and both models now benefit from a shark fin antenna as standard, starting from the Expression trim level, a detail that emphasizes the aesthetic modernization.
Interior and Technology: Enhanced Connectivity and Comfort
Inside, Dacia is making a major leap in technology:
- New Multimedia System: A 10-inch central touchscreen (compared to the previous 8-inch) dominates the dashboard, providing access to a new multimedia system with connected navigation.
- Digital Instrumentation: Drivers will benefit from a new 7-inch digital instrument display.
- Steering Wheel and Controls: A new steering wheel and the introduction of paddle shifters for the automatic transmission increase ergonomics and driving pleasure.
- Wireless Charging: A wireless phone charger adds an extra level of convenience to everyday life.
- Assistance Systems: In line with current safety standards, models include advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), such as automatic emergency braking (AEBS), lane keeping assist and drowsiness warning.
Improved Engines: ECO-G 120 and LPG Automatic Transmission
The update also brings essential news in the propulsion section, maintaining the focus on bi-fuel engines, which remain a pillar of Dacia's success.
| Model | Trim Levels | Available Engines | Key Novelties |
| Sandero facelift | Expression, Journey | TCe 100, ECO-G 120 | The ECO-G 120 (Petrol/LPG) engine can be paired, for the first time, with a 6-speed automatic gearbox (EDC). |
| Sandero Stepway facelift | Essential, Expression, Extreme | TCe 110, ECO-G 120 | Continues to offer the TCe 110 engine. Also receives the new ECO-G 120. |
The new ECO-G 120 engine represents an important evolution, offering more power (120 HP) and, for the version with automatic transmission, a high-performance combination between the economy of LPG and the comfort of a dual-clutch automatic transmission.
