Art on Wheels: Porsche Celebrates 15 Years in Moldova with a Unique 911 GT3 Inspired by the "Tree of Life"

Porsche has unveiled a unique masterpiece on wheels to mark a decade and a half of official presence in the Republic of Moldova. Called the 911 GT3 Touring “Tree of Life”, this one-off (Sonderwunsch) combines pure German performance with Moldova’s deepest cultural symbols and traditions.

The project, initiated by Porsche Moldova, was developed in close collaboration with the designers at Style Porsche and the artisans of the Sonderwunsch division in Zuffenhausen, the result being a love letter on wheels addressed to Moldovan culture.

The symbol of tradition: From ripe grapes to "Neodyme" gold

The centerpiece of this exclusive model is the Tree of Life, one of the most recognizable cultural symbols of Moldova, representing continuity, growth and the balance between heritage and progress. Porsche designers have managed to translate this philosophy into a spectacular color concept.

Exterior: A mesmerizing transition of colors

Gradient paint: The front of the car is painted in Violapurplemetallic, a shade that gradually transitions towards the rear in Chromaflair Magic Magenta. The concept is directly inspired by the stages of grape ripening, a tribute to the deep-rooted winemaking tradition of the Republic of Moldova.

  • Hand-painted graphics: The “Tree of Life” symbol stretches across the hood and roof, hand-painted in Neodyme Porsche Gold.
  • Matching wheels: Magnesium wheels (20 and 21 inches) continue this gradient, painted in shades matching the car's body for a fluid look.
  • Hidden signature: A close look at the front spoiler grille reveals the letter "M", precisely engraved in metal – an elegant signature dedicated to Moldova.
  • Creating the multilayer exterior finish and complex graphics required approximately 400 hours of meticulous craftsmanship.

The interior: A fusion of folk wear and modern luxury

The cultural story continues inside the cabin, where materials and textures reinterpret traditional crafts in a contemporary manner.

  • Color palette: The interior is dressed in Lilac leather, complemented by Ruby Star Neo accents and contrasting stitching in Atacama Beige.
  • Pasha fabric: Porsche’s classic “Pasha” texture pattern has been reinterpreted in shades of Ruby Star Neo and Atacama Beige, referencing the geometric motifs of Moldovan folk costumes. It can be found on the seat centers, door panels, glove compartment and trunk area.
  • Paldao Wood: Paldao wood inserts, including the manual gear knob and the backrests of the sports seats, symbolize natural roots and traditional woodworking.

A historical premiere exhibited in Chisinau

The official launch of the unique model took place during an exclusive event organized at the National Museum of Ethnography and Natural History in Chisinau. The choice of location was not accidental, as the car became, in itself, a museum piece.

"Porsche Moldova commissioned the 'Tree of Life' car to mark 15 years in the country, and we were honored to be entrusted with this project. I believe this model can inspire customers and fans of the brand everywhere to discover what is possible when personal vision meets Porsche's individualization offer," said Michael Kirsch, CEO Porsche Central and Eastern Europe.

After the premiere at the museum, where it will remain on display in a dedicated exhibition, the Porsche 911 GT3 Touring "Tree of Life" will be on display at Porsche Center Moldova.

Special request: The pinnacle of Porsche customization

This example demonstrates the technical and artistic capabilities of the Porsche Sonderwunsch (Special Wish) program. Beyond the classic options in a configurator, this program allows customers and subsidiaries to collaborate directly with engineers and designers in Zuffenhausen to create vehicles that are unique on a global scale, whether they are completely new cars or customizations of existing models. It is not just a top sports car, but a modern work of art with a Moldovan cultural identity.
