Chery International makes history: 20 million vehicles sold globally
The Chinese auto group Chery International has marked a historic moment in the global automotive industry, becoming the first manufacturer in China to reach and exceed the threshold of 20 million vehicles sold globally.
The 20 millionth model to roll off the assembly line was the new Chery Fulwin A9 premium hybrid sedan, a symbol of the brand's transition to electrification and cutting-edge technology.
A spectacular rise: From founding to global leader
Founded in 1997, Chery was a pioneer in the Chinese auto industry. In 2007, the company became the first Chinese car brand to surpass 1 million vehicles sold globally.
Since then, the pace of expansion has accelerated:
- 23 consecutive years as the largest Chinese exporter of passenger cars.
- Official presence in over 130 countries and regions.
- In the first half of the year, the group exported 943,800 units, registering an impressive growth of 71.5% compared to the same period in 2025.
